You've spent hours...

  • Trying to figure out if you're with the right person
  • Questioning whether your anxiety is a warning sign to leave
  • Feeling nervous that you're making a mistake
  • Debating whether you'd be happier with someone else
  • Asking people if they think you're in the right relationship
  • Monitoring your thoughts and feelings to figure out if you're really attracted or in love enough
  • Confessing to your partner that you're doubting the relationship
  • Struggling with the urge to break up
  • Reading article after article, trying to find an answer...
Because of this, you and your partner are in a lot of pain. You’ve tried all kinds of ways to get rid of the problem - relaxation, meditation, etc. - and nothing has worked. You’re confused, frustrated, and nearly hopeless. You don’t understand why this is happening, how to make it go away, or even what to do next.

Your Guide, Cameron

Hi, I'm Cameron.
I'm a therapist who helps people with relationship anxiety and ROCD.
For this course, think of me as your guide.
I started this journey by dealing with my own relationship anxiety. After I recovered, I set out to help other people find the same peace and confidence that I feel now.
I've walked this path with many people. I've seen the patterns that keep people stuck, as well as the steps that set people free.
You don't have to reinvent the wheel. Let me share with you what I've learned to help you recover too.

Four Ways This Course is Unique

  1.  To my knowledge, this is the only online course that uses ERP and ACT to help people find peace from relationship anxiety and ROCD.

  2. This course is led by a fully licensed therapist. Other ROCD courses are led by coaches. While coaches can be very skilled and helpful, they don’t have the extensive training that therapists do.

  3. This course is grounded in evidence-based strategies that we know from research are helpful for many people.

  4. This course has been reviewed and vetted by other licensed therapists.

FAQs

How do I know if this course is right for me?

This course is for high-functioning adults who are smart and successful in many places, yet struggle with anxiety in relationships. Many people who find this course have dealt with anxiety or worry since childhood.

I encourage you to read through the entirety of this page as well as my article here. If what I'm describing matches your experience, this course is likely right for you.

Regarding identity, this course is designed for anyone who wants to have a healthy, loving relationship. I make no assumption as to your partner's or your sexuality, religious beliefs, or any other identities.

What can I expect from this course?

Think course gives you the tools needed to find peace from ROCD.

By taking the course, you will learn how to:

  • Stop doing compulsions like confessing and seeking reassurance

  • Reconnect to courage, since courage is the antidote to fear

  • Do self-led ERP

  • Find peace by unhooking from intrusive thoughts

  • Connect to your values, which help you make choices that aren't just fear-based

  • Choose for yourself whether to stay in or leave your relationship

  • Skillfully handle any future setbacks

My biggest goal for you is that you discover that you can face scary things when something on the other side matters to you. Giving love a chance isn't easy, but it really really matters. Let me help you learn how.

Will taking this course lead me to break up with my partner?

The short answer is: No, this course will not make you do anything.

This is one of the most common fears around recovering from ROCD. The fear is that the course would lead you to discover "the truth" as to whether you're in the right relationship, and that you'd have to then leave your relationship because you know it's not right. As we'll talk about in the course though, there is no once-and-for-all answer like this. It just doesn't exist. Part of recovery comes from accepting this uncertainty and letting go of the belief in a right answer.

Let's look at the numbers: No one who has taken this course, nor anyone who has worked with me in therapy, has discovered something that has made them leave their partner. Humans just don't work that way.

Instead, as a result of doing this work, you'll be more likely to feel confident in yourself and get the kind of relationship you want.

Do I need to be in a relationship to use this course?

While you don't need to be in a relationship to benefit from this course, you'll have many more opportunities to put the course into practice if you're in a relationship or dating someone.

I’m already in therapy. Can this course help?

This course can be a great addition to therapy! I share this material with my therapy clients, and they've said it has been helpful for them in addition to our work during sessions.

This course is *not* a substitute for therapy.

Does this course work for guys?

Yes, this course is designed for anyone who's struggling with ongoing doubt and anxiety about their relationship.

ROCD does not discriminate! Anyone can struggle with relationship anxiety, and it manifests in similar ways in everyone: lots of intrusive thoughts, anxiety, and doubts about the rightness of your relationship.

The strategies and techniques to manage ROCD are universally applicable.

Is there a difference between ROCD and relationship anxiety?

For the purposes of this course, I use "relationship anxiety" and "ROCD" to mean the same thing. Both point to a pattern of persistent doubt and fear around the rightness of a partner or relationship. Both involve fear of making a mistake. Both involve a lot of rigid thinking. And both require the same set of tools to overcome.

Do you offer refunds?

Because the course materials are downloadable, I don't offer refunds.

Why is the course called "Choosing Love"?

Great question! When people are stuck in ROCD, they almost always lose their sense of agency. They feel at times like they "have to" leave, "have to" confess, "have to" find an answer. Until a person takes back their agency - their ability to choose - they will not have recovered completely.

Few things are more healing than learning to choose.

Learning to choose means that each day you ask yourself "Am I going to play it safe, or am I going to give love a chance?"

My personal bias is that choosing love is the better direction. It's also what I see most everyone choose as they make progress in their recovery. But what I most want for you is that you learn to choose for yourself.

When we learn to choose in the face of fear and uncertainty, day after day, we become more confident and more directed toward what we want. As we do this, ROCD loses its hold over us.
